I met John Hart when I read THE KING OF LIES. I found him again, improved, in DOWN RIVER. This time he really shines as a great author in THE LAST CHILD! This book grabbed me and held on for 450+ pages. I lost a lot of sleep because I just had to know what happened.
The book is not light mystery reading. It has meat to it and terribly sad parts. It moved me in ways I haven't been moved in a long time. That's saying a lot considering the books I've read recently.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
