Book about moving from the city to the country to (try to) live off the land and find oneself. The move was to Saugatuck, Mi. Quite humorous in parts. A lot of name-brand dropping which began to come across as shallow (which the author admits to being). I'm sure some of the uber-stereotypes exist in this area, but often it seemed to be generalized (ALL country people, ALL Michigan people), and I found it interesting for MI to be called, on many occasions, the north. I realize we ARE north, but in the context, it read to me somewhere WAY UP NORTH. Overall, though, a fun read.
