This was my favorite of the series - both hero and heroine are damaged goods, facing tough odds to just live their lives. They don't believe in themselves much, or believe they're worth anything, but find in each other a teammate. Of all of the stories, the romance is probably the most believable. They feel more real to me, and their relationship more real. The sexual tension completely sizzles in this one. I also think this story achieves the best balance between the plot, the back stories, the violence and the romance, and Lee is such a hard, foul-mouthed s.o.b. you gotta love him.
