Lead Me On (Tumble Creek, #3)
by Victoria Dahl
by Victoria Dahl
Overall, the book wasn't half bad. The thing that really bothered me about it was how quickly I finished the book. It seems like Dahl's books end as soon as they start. Or, that could be because i have a hard time putting them down.
I never thought i could get into a book about some frigid snob that likes everything proper and orderly. What really intrigued me about Jane's character was the fact that she was a different person on the inside than her frigid outter shell first leads you to believe. It seemed afterward that I had a lot in common with her character. We both try to hide our bodies by loose fitting clothes so as to not draw any unwanted attention and we both had a thing for bad boys with tattoos.
But that wasn't the only thing that kept me interested. The chemistry between Jane and Chase kept the story moving quickly and the family drama kept you interested.
The one thing that needs improvement in her books is the emphasis that she places on sex. To me, if you're gonna go on for 5 pages about sex then you need to dedicate just as many pages to what happens after that. But that's just my theory.
