really liked it

The difference between Miller's book on prayer and others that I have read is that he does not focus on the self-discipline of the Christian nor on techniques for incorporating more mediation into your life (though he does give some really helpful practical advice at the end.) Instead he shows how our prayer life (or lack thereof) is wholly motivated, sustained, and informed by our view of who God is. How true! My prayer life is sorry not because I am too lazy to get up at 5am (though that is certainly true) but because I am fail to see the goodness and power and love of the One I am praying to. Grace permeates the book, making it one of the most inspiring books on the subject...
