This book is about some friends who wished to attend story hour on Saturday but all ad chores or responsibilities at home. They all decided not to do them but pretended they did and then went to the story hour. When they got there, the story was similar to the things they had done. They felt guilty and left the story to return to their tasks. They worked together to complete their chores and felt happy in the end.
This is a beautiful story to use to teach children about lies, responsibilities, and working together.
