Enjoyable, but not in the same league as the first book in the series. It had a very middle-sequel feel about it, with a lot of shifting of characters and introduction of larger themes that are clearly meant to show up in later books. I've been warned to persevere through this one, so that is what I'll do.

MB That's what I thought about this book as well. This was probably my least favorite. I didn't love Mendoza in Hollywood either, but by Book 4 I was SO hooked!
