Snakes and Ladders
by Gita Mehta
by Gita Mehta
Fairly straightforward presentation of a number of issues facing India today, touching on a number of snags (overpopulation, environmental degredation) and boons (education), although the deep-rooted biases of Mehta seem to prevent a more in-depth treatment. Still, a good introduction to some of India's problems.
