I'm struggling with how many stars to give this book. The best thing about it is the creativity of the murders. The killer experiments with different forms of preservation, and this one had a great beginning. When a local museum discovers a mummy tucked away in the basement, they take it in for scannng at the hospital, but it soon becomes clear that this is not an ancient mummy. Jane Rizzoli is now on the hunt for a killer who likes to preserve his victims. Rizzoli's story is interspersed with the tale of a woman on the run for her life. Of course, the twin will meet later. However, there was some repetition between this book and the previous one. Some of the scenes even made me pause to ask myself if I'd read this book before. Maura Isles has a very small part in this one, and most of her scenes seem pointless and side track the action. By the time Jane Rizzoli figured out the solution and is appropriately shocked, I was confused about why it took this fabulous detective so long. That being said, it did have some truly suspenseful moments, so it gets that extra star.
