A fascinating, well told picture of the early years of the American comic book industry and the tale of two boys growing to become men then waste away in the 30s and 40s turmoils.
I do feel Chabon strayed off the plot's initial pace and essence near the end as the character's post-war lives are told and it left a somewhat bitter taste in my mouth, but the writing was still great enough to make me still love this book.
I highly recommend this book.
