I don’t even know what I want to say about this book. Typically I would write some kind of summary, but in this case I don’t want to give anything away. I will say that the story begins with man creating a virus to create a better soldier. Of course this soldier would need to see in dark caves, be uber strong, somewhat invincible, and overall vampiric. As always it goes horribly, horribly wrong. The 12 test subjects break out of the super-secret military base and the world as we know it is over.
And that’s all I want to say… This book takes such epic turns! This book really is story telling at its finest. The writing is superb. The author writes these great characters, each with their own voice and tone. I fell in love with all of them. This book is well over 700 pages and it never felt long winded or unnecessary. Everything served a purpose. Awesome
I didn’t find it particularly scary. Some parts are intense and there is some definite suspense, but I wouldn’t classify this as horror at all.
I’m so upset with myself for not reading this sooner and even more upset that I finished it. I can’t wait for more story! I need to know what happened to these characters. Read this book! You’ll thank me later!
