really liked it

Jane Eyre turns feeling sorry for yourself into an art form. It's nothing mind-blowing, but I do appreciate that Jane was written as such a strong woman in a time when most female protagonists didn't have half her reason. I love this book, own multiple copies, have read it more times than I care to count, and will read it again the next time I feel pitiful. It's basically classical literature's version of a chick flick.
