really liked it
bookshelves: romance
Read from September 29 to October 04, 2011

I read this immediately after The Lost Duke of Wyndham and it was so interesting to see the same story told from Thomas' and Amelia's points of view.

Thomas has been the Duke of Wyndham for several years and has worked hard to fulfill his responsibilities to his position. But now his grandmother, the dowager duchess, has found a man who may be Thomas' cousin and may in fact be the true Duke of Wyndham.

Thomas' emotions and actions as he deals with the implications of what it would mean to not be the Duke and with his new feelings for the woman he has been engaged to since childhood are handled very well and are very believable. This book also explains some of the things that happened in the first book that were bothersome without knowing why they happened.

It was great to read the two books back to back and I would recommend that others who have a chance to read them both close together do so.
