really liked it
bookshelves: romance

Another good romance by Catherine Anderson, this one featuring a woman who had been battered and abused by her father and raped by one of his friends (in exchange for a case of whiskey). There was an interesting dynamic to the romance because her father was responsible for helping hang Keegan's father when he was a child (for a crime he didn't commit). Circumstances throw them together and Keegan has his work cut out for him trying to convince her that he's not like the other men in her life.

The climax of this book was probably the best I've read by spoilers, but it was pretty exciting. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the heroine kind of annoyed me.
