Read from June 26 to July 26, 2010

I received this book as part of the First Read program. I was in the process of finishing two other books so this one kept getting pushed back and back on my schedule. I also struggled with the fact that I have never read Anna Karenina. I debated whether I should read the Classic first, pick up some footnotes, or watch the movie in order to get me oriented with the story line. I figured I had delayed enough so here I am, diving headfirst into a book that is a classic story to many, but is a first for me and now includes Android's. After I finish the book I would be interested to discuss the two books.

**UPDATE: I have finally finished the book. It took me quite a long time. I blame a busy summer schedule for this one. I really enjoyed the book. Around the end it started getting a little tedious, but in general the book was very good. It has definitely made me want to read Anna Karenina. My brain took me on many different paths when thinking of the political struggles happening in the book and what was historically going on in Russia during this time period. The book also reignited my interest in steampunk designs. Thinking of a good Halloween costume this year.
