If you've heard anything about this book, you've heard it involves Tesla and Edison and the building of the New York subways and time travel. Doesn't that seem fun? But the book is not fun. The book is tired-seeming. It lacks any interesting characters, by which I mean no one here is fully-drawn. Or half-drawn. They're, like, arms. And maybe feet. Anyway, the second half of the book gets kind of all right plot-wise (the first half has nothing to do with Tesla or Edison and not much to do with the subways or time travel), which is why we're at two stars. But really, skip it.
