I have absolutely fallen in love with this series. Laurel, the main character, is a bit brash and abrasive like many of the middle heroines for Roberts' trilogies - but she isn't overwhelmingly caustic. There's humor, vulnerability, and a genuine caring that makes her extremely likable. Del, the love interest, is not as developed. Though we see him throughout the preceding two books, we don't get into his head the same way we did Carter or Jack. He's a great guy with few, if any flaws. I found him to be a little two dimensional so that was slightly disappointing. The heart of this book, just like the others in the series is the friendship between the four women and that shines. There were laugh out loud moments and one or two times I got a little teary-eyed at some of the wedding descriptions.

Along with Del's lack of development, the editing on the Kindle edition earned this book a lower rating than I would've normally given. Lots of grammatical errors jumped out at me, particularly spacing and punctuation. I usually don't notice it that much but it seemed like every chapter had at least four or five instances that could have easily been caught by a copy editor.

This book is a keeper, the whole series is and I can't wait to see the final installment in November. I just hope the copy editor spends a bit more time on the grammar. Parker and Mal are already quite developed and alive for me. :)

Sara It is super annoying when there are tons of little errors that would be so easy to catch. That has been my biggest gripe with Mercedes Lackey's Five Hundred Kingdoms series. They are very enjoyable books, but I find the errors distracting.

That was my problem w/ this book. Very enjoyable book and one I would recommend to other romance readers. But the errors really do jerk you out of the story and make it harder to get lost in the fantasy.

Sara Doesn't help that I would be happy to catch these errors myself for a small fee...

Wouldn't that be an awesome job? :)
