Dory is one kick ass dhampir. Her dad, Mircea, one of the head honchos of the Senate has a job for her. Find and re-imprison his brother Vlad ie Dracula, before he kills the rest of the family.

Dory is great, but she seems to get attacked a lot; still she survives all the ambushes fairly well. She doesn't want to do the job for her father but Claire, her roommate is missing and she has run out of leads.

Louis-Cesare, starts off as a arrogant snob but turns into a hunk with a heart. There is work to do on his tortured soul though, in the next books.

This is an extremely well written book by an experienced author and it certainly shows. Give me more Dory! Now!
