This is an interesting end to the Zuckerman series. Possibly the most complex. I like the juxtaposition of following Zuckerman's experience with the fiction he writes related to the experience. It presents an interesting look at Zuckerman on his way out, seems to make the Zuckerman books into an ordered cycle, telling a larger story. Not the most emotional or the most intriguing, but good none the less and gives shape the the whole body that is Zuckerman.
