really liked it
bookshelves: young-adult
Read from June 26 to July 02, 2010

Lots of readers will say that an author was clever or funny, but Shusterman actually IS these things. I read Antsy Does Time when it was a BBYA book a while ago, and this title was published first.

Both read well as stand-alones, despite having the same main character. Shusterman perfectly matches humor, drollness, and the heart-warming without making teens gag on the latter. Better yet, when he weaves all the strings at the end together, he does it like a virtuoso. I could happily recommend this book to almost every teen I know.
