Five brothers are exploring the Treasure Pit on the island their family owns. When two of the brothers are lowered into the pit something goes wrong and one of them dies. His body has to be left behind and on that day Pearl Harbour is bombed. Three of the remaining brothers join the military and the pit is a bad memory.

Fast forward to present day Antartica. One of the members of the "winter over" team loses it and kills all of his fellow team members and then himself. The Corporation investigates, then calls on the renegade Argentinian camp. They are drilling for oil in Antarctica. They they claim the land for themselves, ignoring any and all existing treaties.
