Kitty Goes to War (Kitty Norville, #8)

I liked it. It was traditional Kitty. I feel like I was more along the ride for her emotional issues than any real fear for her safety like in the previous book. Despite that, it wasn't a bad ride. It was nice to see Rick back, but I'd like to see him participate a little more. I was very excited to have Cormac back, but it just doesn't feel right when he doesn't have guns to play with. Of course, Vaughn mentions this so it fits within the context of the story. The one issue that I've every had with the books is that it feels like Cormac and Kitty would make a good couple. Maybe they would be too volatile, but it'd be fun to read. I think Ben balances her out so I understand the choice. I just wonder if it would have been different if Cormac hadn't gone to jail.
Anyway, I really liked the new guy in the book and I hope to hear a reference about him in a future story.

How did you get a copy so early??? I have been stalking the bookstores and haven't seen it yet.

Books-a-million or whatever they're called. They always seem to have them a day or two early. Borders hadn't unpacked their box yet and the meanies wouldn't do it for me. I don't like the store, but if Borders and BN don't have a book on the shelf when I'm out I always double check just in case.
And Cormac is the big 'wonder what would happen' but I really do like Ben - he does balance her out but he definitely needs to embrace his 'change'. I can't wait to read this, I, like Darcy have been stalking the bookstores as well.
Sadly there are no Books a Million around me. :( Guess I will have to wait til Tuesday. It shouldn't matter as I want to read it next weekend, but still.... it would be nice to have it in hand.
I know what you mean Darcy. You just want to hold it and be all "Wohoo! I got the Kitty book!" and in your mind do a little victory dance. Perfectly understandable. CJ - Ben seems okay with himself in this book.
I don't know whether or not to buy the paperback or wait until an audio download becomes available. I am not going to buy another CD audio book. I really like Kitty!
