It's a can't-put-it-down read, which I don't find all that often. Sure, you had to suspend disbelief on several occasions, to say the least (e.g. various protagonists regularly escaping death), but that just made it more fun. I also had a tough time believing that the trial proceedings were remotely realistic (such as arresting a witness mid-hearing), but then again, I don't know anything about the Swedish legal system.
I also felt the book lost a bit of focus after the trial; I could have done without the details of Lizbeth's trip to Gibraltar.
In any event, like many others, I hope the fourth partially-written book ends up getting published. I can't wait for more.

Ashley I decided to leave at least 2 months between each book so that I could savour the last one. Enjoy

Ashley I also finished reading it yesterday and although I enjoyed it I found it the least well constructed of the three. One wonders how he would have shaped the book and any future as yet unwritten books had he been alive to receive feedback from editors and publishers.....
