Excellent source of pre-hopping beer history with recipes to compliment the cultural information. Unfortunately, the recipes are too low of gravity in my opinion. Even the basic mead recipe calls for about half the amount of honey you might want to use. Absolutely amazing source though for understanding the spiritual perspectives on fermentation of many indigenous cultures. It reinforces the great awarness I have developed of the living world around me through fermentation.
