Angels, demons, folk/fairy tales, mages, Morgan Le Fay, wit and irony, it is all in this novel. It is not a light fantasy though. The story is intriguing, the characters are full of flaws and realistic, and the demons are like no others. Its one of the most unique books I have ever read, the fairy tales are so well done as to not seem childish, but rather realistic in a fantastical sort of way, and it could only take place in one city, New York. There is just something about New York that fits it. Maybe the fact that New York has this awe about it that other cities fail to have? Whatever it is, it works.
