Music for Chameleons is a collection of Truman Capote's later writing, including short stories, personal observations, and a novella. Although this writing is more jaded and less mesmerizing than his earlier works, it is still worth reading, especially "Handcarved Coffins", the novella in the middle of the book. Capote was a master storyteller, and even his bad writing is better than most.
