Bite to Remember(5), Bite me if you can(6), Vampires are forever(8) and Vampire Interrupted(9) These stories are closely related and even overlap. It's best to read these in order at this point and try not to go all over the place like I did and trying to think back and piece things together. I was so happy to finally have Marguerite's story and it was everything I was hoping it to be. The story moved rather quickly and there was so much going on I couldn't put the book down. We were first introduced to Christian and the Notte clan in a Bite to Remember. Christian was a huge part of this book and I loved getting to know him more and I loved having that window into Margerites past. She is always such a huge force in the past books, kind of nosing her way into her kids lifes and helping with their lifemates, but she does it with such love. After her life with Jean Claude, I was happy to see things finally go right for her. We also get a close look into why Jean Claude was the way he was. We were able to see a vulnerable side to Marguerite, usually she is so in control in the past books that it made her character seem more alive. I loved Julius and his struggles with the past and in protecting his son Christian. I couldn't have asked for a better Hero. This is one of my favorite books in this series. The only thing that bothered me was a conversation that was mentioned twice. In the begining Julius was trying to bond with Marguerite and was talking about Christian playing Violin in a rock band. He brought it up again towards the end of the book when Marguerite was trying to find a way to bond with Christian, Julius brought it up again like he didn't already tell her. I was a little confused, because I remembered the conversation. It didn't take away from the book though, just gave me a moment of confusuion
