This is the best novel I've read since The Road or Peace. Pure poetry...Woodrell nailed it! I love women protagonists, and I don't believe you'll hardly ever find one stronger or more passionate than Ree Dolly.

To give Woodrell credit, I know meth heads like this thoughout the Ozarks and am glad to say none are my friends. To find one who rises above it when so many do not, is pleasing beyond words.
