I first heard about this book when it's author, Rebecca Skloot, appeared on my favorite NPR morning show to talk about it. This book is EXACTLY the book I hoped it would be. It's wonderfully written and done sensitively towards the Lacks family, who have suffered greatly despite the incredible contribution Henrietta has made to modern science.
The book is thought provoking, leaving you to consider not only what happened to Henrietta(and parts of her life, particularly her death are extremely sad) but whether or not your cells or those of your children or loved ones are being used someplae without your knowledge.
