This is the 3rd book in the Alex Rider series. This time Alex has to save lots of Russian lives by stopping a modern lunatic who wants to restore the Soviet Union by detonating a weapon of mass destruction in an abandoned nuclear submarine shipyard. For the first time in the series so far Alex Rider teams up with an American CIA agent to take down the wannabe Soviet. Personally i liked this book but like Stormbreaker it was not as interesting as Point Blanc. Why? Well for me this book and Stormbreaker were both lacking the action that Point Blanc had. There were no snow-mobile / ski chases or psychopathic clones but then again it is a spy novel not a war book. All in all it was a good read, like all of Anthony Horowitz's books so i would definitely recommend it to a friend because its so intriguing and quick to read.
