This is quite a long book and moves rather slowly, but it's always interesting. Kinsey and a couple of old cops try to identify a Jane Doe whose body was dumped in a local quarry many years ago, taking them to some small towns in the desert near the Arizona border. I like Grafton's dry sense of humor and her portrayal of how Kinsey works with the two older cops. There's also some background on Kinsey's family - hope that's followed up on in later books.
