Better: A Surgeon's Notes on Performance
by Atul Gawande
I saw this book and Complications last week in the book store and the latter. I read one of the essays and do agree with your assesment, but with my knee surgery yesterday I decided to get a little more removed from that before I started to read all the crazy stories Gawande has to share. I'll have to read it soon though.
