Pleasure Unbound, by Larissa Ione (2008), is the 1st book in her 'Demonica' series. As simply put as possible, this series is about an ongoing feud between a complex world of demons and demon hunters. Demon races range from the Dresdiin (the demon equivalent of angels) to Incubi (those who feed on sex--both evil and not so evil) to SoulShredders (who are just completely evil). The Aegis or Gaurdians, are a society of human warriors dedicated to protecting the world from evil; thus, on the hunt for any and all demons.

The conflict of this story arises when a certain demon and gaurdian meet and they are unable to ignore the instant lust they have for one another. To make matters worse, life seems to keep throwing them back together and along the way they it gets harder and harder to differentiate which side each one is on.

So, a classic story that is found in all romantic suspense...but a great twist in the paranormal genre. Ione's writing is creative, funny, and sexy. I would definitely recommend these to those that love hot sex scense within a book that also has a great plot. I'm definitely reading on the next book.

As a side note, for those that are really into the erotic side of things. Check out Larissa Ione's and Stephanie Tylers's work under the pseudonym Syndey Croft.
