did not like it

Read from June 17 to 18, 2010

I thought that this book would be interesting if nothing else, however that even seemed to be too high of a standard for this book. Broken Memory was pretty much the worse book I have read this year, which is sad because the summary actually seemed promising.

Briony This sounds like a bummer. I really wanted to read this one. How was it bad?

Stevie It was. =/ It was really slow and nothing really happened. Except for the fact that her mother dies close to the beginning, I had absolutely no reason to care about the main character. It also didn't help that no information was given about this girls life, except for that she is a survivor of a geneoside, so it was really hard to connect with her.

Basically I really don't understand how this made the list. Except maybe because the committee wants us to learn about new cultures, which this book ultimately fails at. =/
