** spoiler alert ** A fantastic sequel to the first book of the series. For some reason I am really enjoying parts of the story with Lando of all people. He cracks me up.

It was interesting seeing how the Nahgri government was structured and a little bit of their culture. Leia and Chewy spent a lot of time down there on the planet. Thrawn is just as impressive of a guy as he was in the first book. Freakin brilliant mind! I wish my mind worked similarly (except not as evil or power-driven.)

I can't believe how completely insane C'Boath is. I was hoping Mara was going to do him in when she and Luke departed from Jomark.

Karrde is a very interesting character, but I predict he ends up being a hero and dying in the last book.

And then there is Fey'lya. Man. I hate that Bothan. I always thought I'd love that race because of what they did in Return of the Jedi, but apparently they're just as messed up as the Empire. I was so happy when Karrde blackmailed him on the cruiser. Great moment. Get him outa the New Republic political hierarchy!

Great book! I'm excited to read the conclusion and move on to the duology. Makes me think that Thrawn won't get completely taken out in the final book of the trilogy...
