The Forest House chronicles the persecution of the Britons by the Roman colonists, focusing on the forbidden love story between a Briton druid's daughter and a Roman prefect's son - the child of whom will begin King Arthur's bloodline.

This book isn't as riveting as the Mists (although it does have a shocking end), but it's worth a read to help understand the traditions of Bradley's priestesses and the origins of Avalon, which was established by the Briton pagans along with another persecuted group - the Christians.
