With new freinds, Burke Hallows, Lachlann Spears, Muirin Shae, and Adelaide Lake, she might actually find herself liking Oakhurst, if only the magically gifted kids would stop mysteriously dissappearing. With the staff being hostel and acting generally strange, Spirit and freinds don't know who to turn to when it becomes clear that something magical is taking and killing the missing. It becomes a race against time to find out if Spirit and freinds can find out who is stalking them and stop them from taking another kid or if they will become the next to go "missing."

I always find easy comfort in Mercedes Lackey books and this one was no exception. It was a good solid mystery and it sets up for a great series. Many threads still to follow. I can't wait for the next one!
