If there is any 21st-Century novelist at work who is more imaginative than Neil Gaiman, I know not who s/he is. Anansi Boys is a follow-up -- but not really a follow-up -- to the excellent American Gods, and it is a silly, spooky, poignant familial drama about a family of demigods. Delightful.

Neil Gaiman
“You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.”
