after reading Untouched I vowed not to touch another book from this author again but I was convinced that this book is great. I guess it depends on what your tastes are as far as story line goes and how believable a storyline is. Most regency books I have read so far have believable plot however both books by Anna Campbell do not, moreover the books rarely include other characters other then h/h and both books do not describe social life at all but are rather limited to one small house with 2 rooms for 90% of the book. This book is for people who don’t care about a book making sense and who do not mind reading into h/h heads 60% of the time with no other action but sex and the sex isn’t all that special either. Untouched has barren heroine and this one had one too, what’s up with that? Can we make these women happy since they both wanted children? Anyway this book was waste of time for me

Eastofoz So how's it going for ya so far Slavena?

Slavena I finished, guess this author isnt for me after all, there were too many similarities between this and Untouched that rubbed me wrong.

Eastofoz Aw, too bad you didn't like it Slavena :( Did you like Kylemore a little or did he grate? I'm the opposite with wanting a book to focus on the h/h 90%+ of the time. I don't like sub-plots. You might want to try Loretta Chase's The Lion's Daughter. That has a lot of sub-stories and action --I totally hated it (lol!) I also liked Campbell's claustrophobic feel for both books. Ah well, there are tons more to be discovered :)

Slavena I dont care for too many subplots either and like a lot of h/h action but i like change of enviroment, them meeting diferent places, doing things other then sex, that way you can build a believable affection and one house party is way too much, atm I am enjoying Garwood a lot, read 2 regency's by her back to back and loved them, so much more from her to read but yeah Anna Campbell is not for me

Kylemore felt flat, just brute force is not enough, some intellegence is needed, he was portrayed as a peasant and thats how he was dressed and behaved for the most part of the book. His behaviour and character wasnt very polished for the titled man he is supposed to be.

Sounds way too much like Anne Stuart. I have this one on my ereader, but I won't be getting to it ANYTIME soon.

And I also hate confined settings. I guess the aim is for tension, but it ends up becoming more stifling and dull than anything else.

Slavena some people loved this book, but for me - if I had a papercopy I would burn it in my fireplace come winter.

Karla (Mossy Love Grotto) LOL! Readers are resourceful. ;)

You might like this review for it.
