After reading the whole series, I really wish I could give this 3 and a half stars. I was definitely engaged in the story, the details of Amish life and a religious split in the community in 1966-67. The story is positive, uplifting and hopeful. The romance is bland, but sweet. The secondary characters offered a little more color and excitement than the main characters. Loved the themes of love, faith, and forgiveness.
