I loved this book. It was a story about survival. Freedom, the eagle had fallen off its nest when still a young eaglet. The unfortunate fall harmed his wing in such a way that he would never be able to fly. The bird was fortunate enough to be placed in Sarvey Wild Life Center where he was rehabilitated. Jeff Guidry, a volunteer at the center became the eagle's "wings" and helped rehabilitate Freedom. When Jeff was diagnosed with cancer, Freedom repaid in kind.
This is a beautiful book about interspecies love and understanding and also a great guide as to why we should not try to tame the wild. If you love animals and nature, this is a must read. If you don't, then maybe you should read it to appreciate your surroundings.
