I thought this book was well written and I enjoyed it overall. Unfortunately I have to say that I felt that the storyline surrounding Anna Maria’s parentage was actually pretty transparent and I knew well before I was half-way done who her parents were. There was a little too much emphasis on religion in the book for my liking, but that is just a personal issue. I didn’t know much about Vivaldi before reading this book and now have a desire to learn more about this eccentric maestro. I have to say that this book made me extremely thankful to be a woman bought up in this era and not the eras past. I did think this book was interesting and I would recommend it.
