This was a facet of Roosevelt's history of which I had never heard. I have to say that while I enjoyed it overall, it was a pretty slow read. The details on the plant life, sea life and natives of the Amazon were often mind-numbing. Getting 10 pages out a day was an accomplishment sometimes. But overall, I enjoyed this book.
