I enjoyed reading this book. It brought up some great questions about race and how we view it. The story is told from the point of view of Frannie a young girl attending an all black school- until the new kid comes. His white skin and long hair give him the nickname Jesus boy. And Frannie's best friend even begins to believe that this strange new boy could be Jesus. Frannie struggles with the ideas of race and acceptance of everyone no matter their skin color.
