Read from May 02 to 03, 2012 — I own a copy, read count: 2

Some of these were better than others, after a few disappointments I just read the ones by authors I favor and skipped the remainder.

Later I went back and read them all.

The format limits each author to a few scenes, barely enough to make more than a scenario with a bit of realization. There is not enough room to develop a deep character or allow for growth and development, so I probably will not be looking for other books in the series unless they contain a bit of continuation of a series I already follow.

I did enjoy some of these tales enough to recommend it for a beach read or chemo-brain.

I think these Mammoth Book of collections ought to be treated like a cookbook...skim through it, read carefully what attracts interest.
