I've been wanting to read this book for a long time...but it wasn't exactly what I was lead to believe it would be. Keir is the narrator of this story. Throughout the story he continues to remind the reader that he is a Good Guy, so that must excuse all the things that he becomes involved in: gravely injuring another football player with the "perfect tackle", vandalism on city property, drinking with family and friends and the hazing of fellow soccer players. You get the feeling that Keir has dual personalities and he only sees one side of his actions and he is NEVER in the wrong. On graduation night, Gigi accuses him of rape and when he tells his side of the story he makes sure you as a reader believes he did everything for a good reason.

This story is well written - I hope my teen readers will read it, enjoy it or want to discuss their feelings on the tough subjects in this book.
