I like this book becuase it touches bases on how things can really be growing up in a rough neighborhood. As I read Buried Onions I connected it back with my life. The whole thing with Jesus being killed and people wanting revenge on his killer was something that happens today in society. Some people may not want to retaliate but are pressured by peers into doing it. I liked how the author used vivid description in certain scenes so that you can actually visualize what happened and how it look. I also like how the author put the spanish words that were used throughout the book in the back with the english defentions. I would reccomend this book to those who are struggling with similar issues, who can relate or those that are just interested in reading and learning about how others sometime can think in certain situations. I rate this book a 7 because I liked it, it wasn't the best or the worst but it kept my attention.
