I don't like Georgina Kincaid. Haven't liked her from the beginning and continue to not like her as the series progresses. But for some inexplicable reason, I continue to read these books. With this third installment, I found that accepting the fact that I do not like Georgina made it much easier for me to, well... like reading about her.

On a positive note, one thing I love about the Succubus books is that we continually see "evil" people behaving quite decently and "good" people behaving badly. There are so many chances for Mead to start a philosophical discussion about the natures of good and evil and how we choose to define them... but, of course, she isn't that sort of author.

On a spoiler note, I was very happy to see Seth finally show his true douche bag nature. As much as I dislike Georgina, I hate Seth even more. And I knew he was a douche from the first time we met him ;)

Kristy i still haven't read the 1st book in this series.... i just can't make myself do it!!!

Tatiana Well, you are much smarter than me, Megan. I used to like Seth, he is dead to me now.

Megan Really? At what point did you leave Team Seth?

Tatiana My love for him started to fade at about the end of book 2, then I read a short story about these two set between books 2 and 3 where Seth almost cheats on G. And book 3 sealed the deal for me. I am over Seth.

Megan I just hope that G starts to see Seth for the guy he really is, rather than obsess over him or even go so far as to get him back. Ugh. Guys like Seth ~ overly sensitive, super accepting & way to quick to fall in love ~ they always end up jerks in the end.

Tatiana You are on the money here. I started to dislike Seth in book 2 exactly because he was way too accepting of G's infidelity. It was just unnatural somehow. You know what I mean? And then in 3rd, after acting all saint-like - he cheats in such a vile manner!

Megan Yes, you're right. It wasn't natural that he never expressed a bit of jealousy or anything over her succubussing it up with other guys. I actually liked him a little bit more when he acted like such a jerk at the end of this one because he seemed more human. Not to excuse his awful morals, double standards or treatment of G. ~ but at least he is finally showing some discontent towards the whole situation. He's got to be the most passive-aggressive guy I've ever read about!

Barb I could not say it better, you've summed up my feelings on this series too. I did think this book was better than the other 2, probably due to the fact that the relationship with Seth bit the dust :-) Looking forward to reading book 4 mainly to hear more about Dante...

Rachel Smith I'm reading 3 right now. I agree that Seth is too perfect on the outside, thus making his apparent infidelity even more awful. Tatiana, what short story did you read, I'm curious about this little tale.

Tatiana Rachel, it was published in Eternal Lover. I might still have a digital copy of it if you are interested.

Rachel Smith Thanks Tatiana! I just got it!

Felisha I full heartedly agree
