3.0 out of 5 stars (3 1/2 stars) Escape into a fast paced thriller..., March 8, 2009

This review is from: Run for Your Life (Michael Bennett) (Hardcover)
A wealthy homicidal maniac is on the loose in New York. He's targeted people connected to the world of the rich -- a snooty salesman at Ralph Lauren, a maitre d' at Twenty-One Club, a beautiful Air France stewardess, a famous divorce attorney -- what is the motive? Are they connected, and how?

This is the second installment in a new series that features Mike Bennett, NYPD cop and hostage negotiator. In addition to his day job, he's also playing father and nursemaid to 10 motherless adopted children (his wife died of cancer in the first book) and during this episode, they've all become sick with the "flu" that is sweeping through the city. The story races to an action packed conclusion as Mike meets the killer face to face.

I'm sure I will read the next installment! Total escapist reading for a lazy afternoon.
