I absolutely loved reading this book. As usual, this author makes you think about an issue from many different perspectives, leaving you with opinions that are not necessarily black and white, but shades of gray. She accomplishes this by telling the story through many characters' perspectives. The story was riveting. What held me back from giving it a 5 star review was that I felt that Willow should have been a little older to be as smart as she was. I have worked with many many four and five year olds that were very smart and I have never met one who could beat their father in an adult game of Scrabble. That was unrealistic to me. Had she been a few years older, she could have still been small and cute and precocious. The ending, in true Jodi Picoult fashion, was a twist. I would have more surprised if I hadn't read other books by her. I couldn't put the book down and look forward to reading more.
